Get Ready to Buy My Van

My 2018 Dodge Ram ProMaster Model 1500 camper van might be the perfect vehicle for all your needs, whether it’s for pleasure outings on weekends, or for immediate survival requirements. It’s been well maintained, with low mileage (less than 25,000 miles in six years), and it’s in great condition.

You can be ready for “Burning Man”, or for “bugging out”, and sadly if a natural disaster strikes, be it earthquakes, forest fires, tropical storms, or floods that might destroy your primary residence, be assured that you can survive nicely in this camper van for extended time periods.

If you’re in a hostile environment, or working remotely, my van can help you when emergencies are happening around you and you need the power and security to be safe and secure. This Ram ProMaster camper van has 110 and 12 volt onboard electrical systems, no generator needed.

I bought my Dodge Ram ProMaster Model 1500 “standard roof” new in 2018 as an empty cargo van ready to be built out. It now has 24,847 miles on it (six years later) .

It was custom built from the floor and walls up, starting with DynaMat Dynaliner (1/4” thick) sound insulation for noise and road vibration reduction, radiant foil-backed denim insulation for hot and cold weather control in the ceiling and walls, and vinyl flooring installed by Idaho Floor Supply (“5 star” Google reviewed) for quality of workmanship.

Next, an all electric 110 volt kitchen galley with a custom built hardwood “food grade” butcher block counter top from McCall Woodworks was installed, along with five cedar lined closet cabinets and heavy duty drawers for storage; and a Dometic (SMEV VA8005) square 5” deep stainless steel sink with glass top and fold down faucet was built in, along with a (10) gallon fresh water storage tank underneath, a SureFlo Pentair 1.5 gallons per minute water pump, and an IsoTherm (12 volt) refrigerator/freezer combination (4.1 cubic feet) that can keep food fresh for days, make ice cubes, and freeze desserts .

The interior was finished off with a custom built cedar paneled storage closet with heavy duty “touch release” drawer slides, a new custom manufactured two person queen size bed (58” wide x 72” long x 6″ thick) from Boise Leasure Mattress (“5 Star” Google reviewed), and enough (12) volt outlets, (110) volt outlets, and USB outlets to run all your toys and heavy duty power tools .

Also built in are LED ceiling lights, a CR Lawrence slider screened window at the bed area, and custom bug/insect screens at the back and at the sliding side door, and two manual “Skeeter Beater” screens on both front windows help keep bugs out and fresh air in.

It also has a new roof top B-Cool 9000 btu air conditioning unit that runs off the 12 volt batteries that keeps you cool when you want (16 degrees centigrade and 70 degrees fahrenheit), along with (3) portable “dual fans” that run off the USB ports for consistent ventilation throughout the van.

Custom electronics that independently run all these things include two Lg NeonR (360) watt monocrystalline roof top solar panels (60 cells each) giving you high power output mppt tracking area (67″ x 40” x 1.57”) that produce (720 watts per hour combined), and four Battle Born LiFePO4 100 Ah batteries, which are 12 volt deep cycle that can store 4800 watts of power and that are warranted for ten years each.

The Go Power GP-SW3000-12  3000 watt Pure Sine wave inverter (with 6000 watt surge protection) makes it run smoothly either with 12 volts (the lights, the rooftop AC and the IsoTherm Refrigerator), or 110 volts for electronic toys and all the tools you need.

If you are in a remote environment this is what you will want to run your power tools. From simple toys to table saws and powerful tools that require consistent 110 voltage power this will help you get the job done. So, if you’re forced to flee your home, caused by fire, wind, water, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, or the wrath of God, you can survive and start to rebuild your life while living or camping out in my van !!!!

Here are a few more things to know about my ProMaster Van: It’s got a 3.6 Liter (V-6) engine, with a 280 horsepower gasoline engine with front wheel drive to move you comfortably down the highway with great gas mileage (with a 22 gallon gas tank),  a six speed automatic transmission, a towing capacity of 5,100 pounds, and a maximum payload capacity of 4,000 pounds. To make it all easier driving, it’s got a back-up camera and power folding mirrors to get you in and out of tight spaces. And inside it’s got AM/FM stereo radio, Sirius XM Satellite, Blue tooth wired, an automatic engine shut down alarm system, keyless entry and power door locks, a standard interior air conditioning unit along with the “B-Cool 9000” rooftop air conditioning unit putting out 12,000 btu’s, all on four Battle Born 12 volt lithium (LiFO) batteries. It also has a Fiamma titanium awning to keep the sun off, and the shade on you.

And, the”CarFax” history report (Dated August 5, 2024) confirms the low mileage of the vehicle 24,850 miles in six years, with no accidents,  regular servicing, normal tire rotations, standard safety inspections, and zero service/factory recalls.

And when not driving down the road it’s parked inside my garage next to my car, so it doesn’t experience any extra outdoor environmental degradation or exposure.
